Craig has studied with Jerry Coker and received a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in 1983.

He has performed with Bob Mintzer, Michael Bublé, Harry Connick jnr, James Morrison, Billy Cobham, Cleo Lane & John Dankworth, Bobby Shew, Buddy DeFranco, Joe Williams, The Four Tops and the Temptations, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Michael Bolton.

While in Australia he performed regularly with the Don Rader Quintet and the Mike Knock Quartet.

His career has taken him from London to New York. He has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival as well as the Wellington International Jazz Fest and Christchurch Festival of the Arts.
